Alison Wonderland (born Alexandra Margo Sholler) is a DJ, electronic dance music artist, and producer from Australia. Allison Cara Tolman is an American actor from the United States. Best known as Molly Solverson from the FX TV show Fargo during its initial season, she has received nominations for Emmys and Golden Globes. Tolman had two older siblings as well as one younger. At just a couple of months older, her family moved to England where they stayed for about four years. After that, she spent 5 seasons in Oklahoma before moving towards Sugar Land. Her first acting lessons began at age 10 old, at the Fort Bend Community Theatre. She attended Clements High School, graduating in 2000. She received her diploma at Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical performance. After graduation, she lived in Dallas and joined the founding member of Second Thought Theatre. Career in 2014, Tolman starred in the first episode of FX black comedy crime series Fargo. Inspired by the 1996 Coen brothers' film with similar title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman won praise for her portrayal of Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly" was the star of the show. Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for a Movie/Miniseries, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. Tolman was also a guest spot on The Mindy Show as Abby Berman a romance writer. In 2015, she played an supporting role in Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. Tolman declined roles in supporting characters like best friends, spouses, and mothers after her breakout role in Fargo. She was looking for a role that was different. Tolman was a part of ABC as a character in Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-based series). The series was canceled after just one season. Tolman played a lead role in ABC's drama series Emergence which debuted on September 24, 2019. It was cancelled on May 21, 2020 after only one season despite "pretty good" ratings, according to Tolman. Her guest appearances for NBC Good Girls were also cited as a source.
