Allison Cara Tolman is an American actor from the United States. Tolman declined roles in supporting characters like best friends, spouses, and mothers after her breakout role in Fargo. She was looking for a role that was different. Tolman was a part of ABC as a character in Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-based series). The series was canceled after just one season. Tolman played a lead role in ABC's drama series Emergence which debuted on September 24, 2019. It was cancelled on May 21, 2020 after only one season despite "pretty good" ratings, according to Tolman. Her guest appearances for NBC Good Girls were also cited as a source.
